Tottenham only managed to draw against West Bromwich Albion where a win would have helped them cut down their deficit on Leicester.
Leicester is currently 7 points clear of Tottenham and could win the title by defeating Manchester United on Sunday. Spurs will be downhearted that they could not score with the many occasions that they received during the game.
Tottenham started the match well and caused all kind of troubles to West Brom. The first occasion came to Eriksen on a free-kick which the West Brom goalkeeper diverted into a corner.
Minutes later, it was Harry Kane who was denied by the keeper.
The opening goal came in the 33rd minute when Dawson scored an own goal under pressure from Jan Vertonghen.
After the break, Tottenham had opportunities to double their lead, but Lamela only managed to hit the post with his shot. This was the 3rd time that Spurs hit the post in this game.
It will be West Bromwich who will score next. Dawson will make amends for his own goal by scoring on a corner from Craig Gardner. The goal was a deserved one for West Bromwich, who have kept pushing to get an equalizer.
Despite a late period of pressure, Tottenham Hotspurs will not score again in the match, and they will end up conceding the draw against West Brom.
Spurs manager, Mauricio Pochettino, has not given up on the title yet and believe that there might still be some twist in the title race. He wants his players to remain focus and to prepare themselves for the next game which comes against Chelsea on Monday.
In fact, Leicester could already have been crowned champions by then if they managed to beat Manchester United at Old Trafford.
