New Everton manager Frank Lampard has received a major boost before he takes charge of his first Premier League game at the club with the news that star striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin will be in his squad for the Newcastle United game later this week.
In his pre-match presser on Monday afternoon ahead of the Newcastle United match at St. James Park on Tuesday night, Lampard informed reporters that Calvert-Lewin has been training for the last few days and that the England international will definitely make the squad for the trip to take on the Magpies.
While Calvert-Lewin has been declared fit for the Newcastle United game, same can’t be said of his compatriot, Ben Godfrey. It has been confirmed that the former Norwich City defender will missup to four to five weeks after he suffered an injury during the FA Cup round of 32 tie with Brentford at the weekend. He picked up an hamstring problem during the game thus ruling him out of action until next month. He was a regular in the Everton team until his injury.
