The Northeast club Newcastle United are in real danger of getting relegated this season according to the manager Alan Pardew, who recently signed an eight-year deal with the club. This eight-year deal was offered to him by the club after his impressive fifth place finish last season. Pardew almost managed to get Newcastle into the Champions League qualification last season. They were expected to kick on and challenge for the top four positions once again this season. However, things have gone extremely wrong for the club this season because they have struggled for form throughout the first half.
Pardew has also missed a number of first-team regulars during this period, while he will also be doing without the services of the striker Demba Ba for the remainder of the season after the Senegalese striker joined Chelsea a few days ago. This leaves Cisse as the only main striker at the club, but he has struggled to create his form of last season. Even though the talk of relegation is too far from a club like Newcastle, Pardew believes that the club will be in danger of the same if the performances do not include dramatically. The club are just two points above the relegation zone and they have just had one victory in the last five matches.
“We need to get our best players back and quickly. We need to sustain ourselves and make sure we’re a Premier League team next season. We want to stay there but we are in real danger and we need to get our best players out on the pitch. We’re not too big to go down and we accept that,” said Pardew. He also confirmed that the club will be looking to make a new signing to replace Demba Ba, who joined Chelsea in a £ 7 million deal.
